You can now have Master Sommelier and acclaimed restaurateur Rajat Parr on speed dial. Well, technically speed text, but who calls these days anyway? Of course, this direct line to Parr requires some commitment. It’s available through his newly launched Rajat Parr Wine Club, a curated service of limited-production, custom-created wines.
[vimeo 244723237 w=640 h=337]The club stems out of Parr’s passion for wine, and desire to create an online community celebrating the diversity of wine around the world. There are currently two club options: a six-bottle subscription at $500 per shipment, or a twelve-bottle subscription at $1000 per shipment. Both subscriptions include two shipments per year.
All of the wines are custom-created by Parr and winemaker Sashi Moorman. The grapes are sourced from his favorite vineyards in Oregon and California, and grown without chemicals. The wines are made with little intervention, and range from sparkling wine, to Syrah, to Chardonnay.
The value seems to truly skyrocket at the Twelve Bottle Club level. Here, members actually gain access to Parr’s private contact information. Parr invites them to text or email him with questions on anything from his favorite restaurants, to wine purchases. They will also receive invitations to special wine experiences, dinners and tastings led by Parr himself.
If all of this sounds a bit unattainable, Parr has also created “Glug-Glug” offerings. These affordable bottles will be available to anyone on a first-come, first-served basis. For example, the first offering is a highly drinkable 2017 Candy Floss Rosé of Pinot Noir.
According to Parr’s friend and fellow Master Sommelier Brian McClintic, Rajat Parr Wine Club is nearly sold out after just one day. Visit rajparrwineclub.com to learn more or subscribe.
