List of Organic Champagne Brands to Try Now

Producing organic Champagne isn’t easy. Champagne is France’s northernmost wine region, and one of its coldest. As such, its vines are constantly at risk of mold, mildew, and even phylloxera. Organic Champagne growers must take extra care in tending their vineyards, and often deal with reduced yields and higher costs. Use this list of certified organic Champagne houses as a guide to your next glass of bubbly, and to support their efforts!

Most of the organic Champagne houses are small producers that are not widely available. However, there are a few larger organic Champagne brands that are easier to find in stores, including Champagne Drappier and Champagne Fleury. Other larger Champagne brands, such as Champagne Lanson and Champagne Canard-Duchêne, produce one organic label, with the rest of their Champagnes remaining non-organic.

Sometimes, but not always, organic French wines will bear the below logo of L’Agence Bio, the certifying organization for organic products in France.

To note, many of the smaller Champagne brands have no website. Rather than linking to a retailer, where inventory can be inconsistent, we have left those brands without a web link.
