COVID-19 might keep musicians from selling concert tickets, but it isn’t stopping them from selling wine. In particular, summer 2020 has brought us two new French rosés from hit musicians. The latest, Kylie Minogue Rosé, launches only a few weeks after after Post Malone introduced Maison No. 9 rosé.
Minogue has long loved rosé, and chose to release Kylie Minogue Rosé on her 52nd birthday. Minogue partnered with Benchmark Drinks to craft a rosé to her liking: elegant, light, and not overly sweet.
“I have a great passion for rosé and have loved working for the last two years on developing Kylie Minogue Wines,” said Minogue. “Working with the brilliant team at Benchmark Drinks we have created a Rosé that I am truly enamoured by, it’s fresh, light and the perfect pink.”
The 2019 Kylie Minogue Rosé is a Vin de France blend of 80% Carignan and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. Initial tasting notes promise delicate floral and berry aromatics. It is crisp and fresh on the palate, with a dry finish. The wine is made from ripe grapes grown in sun-drenched, south-facing vineyards, and is meant to be approachable on its own or with salads and seafood.
Kylie Minogue Rosé is now available in the U.K., with eventual plans to expand to Australia and Ireland. Buy yourself a bottle at one of over 450 Tesco stores for £9.00. For more information, visit kylieminoguewines.com.
