Given the Coronavirus pandemic, you might be thinking of skipping your trip to the wine bar, and having it delivered instead. In anticipation of the increased demand (and anxiety) around Coronavirus, same-day wine delivery company Drizly has enacted new measures to ensure both drivers and customers remain safe.
Via the Drizly website, these policies include:
- Receiving deliveries outside buildings and homes
- Scanning I.D.s without contact by holding them up for the driver to scan (instead of handing them over to the driver to hold)
- Eliminating customer signatures for the near term. Some drivers may still require signature with pen and paper, but you won’t need to touch the device typically shared amongst deliveries
These measures are an excellent step towards lowering the risk of coronavirus transmission, and we hope to see more delivery companies do the same soon.
