Cirque du Soleil Launches New Rosé Wine

From musician Bon Jovi to the Bachelor’s Lauren Bushnell, everyone seems to be launching their own rosé wine. The latest to go pink? Cirque du Soleil. This rosé will be available at Albertsons Companies stores nationwide including Vons, Safeway, and Albertsons.

Why Cirque du Soleil and wine? While many still think of Cirque du Soleil as a circus performing arts show, it has now grown into an entertainment group that includes nightclubs, boutique apparel, and movies. Cirque du Soleil Rosé is yet another extension of the group’s mission to make a positive impact through art and creativity.

So what can one expect from Cirque du Soleil Rosé? Once you parse through the highly abstract descriptions (“inspired by the infinite elegance of water, biodiversity of soil and the raging emotions of the sun”), it’s a classic Provence rosé: fresh, pale pink in hue, and filled with red berry and floral aromatics.

Cirque du Soleil Rosé is produced by Hostellerie des Vignes de de Rognes in western Provence. The hostellerie is comprised of a cooperative of over 65 producers in the Coteaux des Aix-en-Provence appellation, dating back to 1924. The cooperative places a high focus on quality. For example, the grapes in Cirque du Soleil Rosé are harvested by night to preserve freshness and aromatics.

“From our master winemakers in France, the luxurious glass selected for the bottle, to our collaboration with the Cirque du Soleil team on the elegant label, this project was a dream come true,” said Phil Hurst, Co-Founder, President and CEO of Truett-Hurst Winery via a press release.

Cirque du Soleil Rosé is just the first of many more Cirque du Soleil-inspired wines to come. It retails at $19.99 pet bottle. To learn more, visit cirquedusoleilwine.com.
