When reality TV and wine collide: ABC’s The Bachelorette is taking a turn for the better with a trip to Rioja, Spain. Tune in July 24th (8/9c) to see the contestants explore the medieval villages, rolling vineyards, and historic architecture of Spain’s most famous wine region.
“We couldn’t be happier in our partnership with The Bachelorette as we take America on a romantic journey through Rioja, one of the greatest wine regions in the world,” said Ricardo Aguiriano San Vicente of the Consejo Regulador DOCa Rioja via press release.
Where will The Bachelorette travel in Rioja? While details haven’t yet been revealed, one of the male contestants did post an Instagram story wandering the streets of Logroño, the capital of Rioja. So, we can likely expect scenes set amongst the historic churches and bodegas of Logroño. Logroño is also home to the several renowned Rioja wineries, including Marques de Murrieta and Bodegas Campo Viejo. Wherever they go, the contestants will undoubtedly enjoy local Basque cuisine paired with Rioja wines made from the Tempranillo grape.
