Weekend Getaways: Luxury Trailer Camping at Alto Colina Vineyard

Camping isn’t for everyone. But how about boutique trailer camping on a tempurpedic mattress, waking up to vineyard vistas, and brewing yourself a cup of local organic coffee?

Via PRNewswire, Alto Colina Wine is combining luxury camping and wine tasting to form an experience that takes glamping to a whole new level. Sure, the toilets and showers are a short walk from the trailers, but then it wouldn’t be camping anymore, right? Also, unlike typical campsites, dogs and children are not allowed — making for a more private, peaceful experience.

And at approximately $225 per night for a weekend stay or $175 on weeknights including a complimentary tasting at Alta Colina, this is one reasonably-priced private escape. Guests can rent out the entire pond, add on yoga classes for just $150 for an entire group, or take a group wineblending class. And while each trailer comes equipped with a kitchen, farm-to-table catered meals can also be ordered for those who want more glam and less glamping.

Alto Colina is located in the Adelaida District, which is one of the most well-known winemaking regions of Paso Robles. With its warm, dry climate, Paso Robles is known for its Rhone varietals, and Alta Colina is no exception. Its 2013 Toasted Slope Estate Syrah scored 94 points from Wine Enthusiast.

This experience marks just the start in what is bound to be a growing trend in trailer experiences across vineyards nationwide. Learn more at altacolinawine.com or thetrailerpond.com.
